Our Production & Supply Chain
At Zipster, we believe that knowing where your products come from is just as important as loving them once they’re in your hands. That’s why we’re proud to be open about our production process — from the first sprout of bamboo to the final stitch.
Our clothing is made in Tai’an, China, using bamboo that’s locally grown and sourced in China. Bamboo thrives naturally in the region, which means fewer transport miles for raw materials, lower carbon emissions, and a more sustainable supply chain. We love that our products begin life right where they’re made — keeping things close to the source.
Why Bamboo from China?
Bamboo is an incredible, fast-growing plant that requires no pesticides and very little water to flourish. China is home to some of the world’s richest bamboo-growing regions, which means we can source directly from local farms. This helps us:

- by working closely with trusted suppliers who understand bamboo’s unique properties.
Our Factory Partners
We work with carefully chosen factory partners in Tai’an who share our values of quality, safety, and responsibility. Every partner must agree to our ethical manufacturing policies, which cover fair wages, safe working conditions, and respect for workers’ rights.
To keep ourselves accountable, we audit our factories annually. These checks help us maintain transparency and ensure our partners continue to meet (and often exceed) our standards.
Certifications You Can Trust
Our products are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, which means they’ve been tested and proven free from harmful substances. This gives you peace of mind that every Zipster piece is safe for even the smallest, most sensitive skin.
Our Warehousing Partner
Once our products arrive in Europe, they’re stored and shipped from our trusted warehousing partner in Gorinchem, the Netherlands. This partnership is extra special to us because their team includes employees with disabilities, providing them with valuable work experience, skill-building opportunities, and a supportive environment.
